Burning down the house

5 things to save from a fire

If my house was ever on fire, here are the 5 items I'd grab (yes, assuming all people and animals are safe):
  • my blankie! (obviously)
  • Kindle
  • my tablet
  • my phone
  • a big bottle of water (random, I know, but it's probably what I'd need most).
What would you save? :D

Today's challenge:
Your home is on fire. Grab five items (assume all people and animals are safe). What did you grab?

Hyper dog is hyper

Okay, this is cheating (not a drawing!), but for good reason. Nothing can depict this better than an actual footage of what's going on outside.

Today's challenge:
Go to the nearest window. Write about what you saw.

Ode to a playground

Playground with bears

A friend mocked my stories of teenager Maria meeting bears on her hikes in Romania. But bears were indeed (more or less) part of my playground, so shut up!

My drawing today  'depicts' the destruction of said playground, by zombie bears and their sidekick sheep.

Today's challenge:
A place from your past childhood, one that you're fond of, is destroyed. Write it a memorial.

Best thing since sliced bread

FACT: Takeaway is the best thing since sliced bread!

Today's challenge:
Most of us have heard of the saying 'That's the best thing since sliced bread'. What do you think is actually the best thing since sliced bread?

10 minute portrait
It actually took 7, but who cares.

Today's challenge:
Set a timer for 10 minutes. Open a new post. Start the timer and start writing. When the timer goes off, publish.

This dress is stupid (random question)

This dress is stupid
Not feeling inspired by the question today (where I was supposed to read something quite niche that nobody would then get), I decided to illustrate my state today: f*cking dress! You're useless anyway!

I got skills

Special powers
If I could ever be the master (I know, mistress is the word, but to me sounds dodgy) of any skill in the world, I'd probably choose conversation. Yup - I think you can change anyone's perception of yourself with some charming, skillful conversation.

But what does Maria do?! She just stares awkwardly at people and then goes on 'weather chit-chat' mode. And that's nothing skillful about that.

Today's question was:
If you could choose to be the master (or mistress) of any skill in the world, which skill would you pick?

Life as I imagined it

Life as you imagined it
Today's Q: When you were 16, what did you think your life would look like? Does it look like that? Is that a good thing?

When I showed this one to my friends, they laughed their asses off. Not because it's funny, but because the 'How did you think your life would be when you were 16' thing I portray here is ridiculous.

Yet this is what I thought my life would be:
- me - preppy, glossy-locks kind of girl, with a good job, a preppy boyfriend that is quite well off and a fat orange dog+fat orange cat.

In reality, I've got too much white hair for 30, a double chin, two guinea pigs (fat, yes) and a rabid dog plus one motorcycle-fanatic husband.

Pretty close, I say. Pretty close.
